My First Affiliate Program (FIVERR)

Advertisements

So To tell you the truth all this is really confusing, Im usually calm, not irritated but now tables has turn. Unlike anything else, making money is my motivation and affiliate Marketing gets my attention. Making money online is my goal. Passive income is My dream.

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.

3M Loses First Trial Over Military Earplugs

3M Co. MMM 0.75% lost the first lawsuit to go to trial over the safety of earplugs it sold for years to the military, with a federal jury Friday awarding $7.1 million to three veterans and finding the company failed to warn about defects in the product. The Key that the Jury decided was a no brainer…..

More than 230,000 service members, veterans and others have filed claims blaming 3M earplugs for causing hearing loss. The distinct yellow-and-green plugs, used widely by the U.S. Army and other branches, were designed to fully block noise if inserted in one direction, while in the opposite direction the plugs would let in nearby voices but still shield the ear from harmful ballistic noises.

Minnesota-based 3M has stood by the safety of the earplugs, which it stopped selling in 2015. A company spokeswoman said Friday they disagree with the verdict and don’t believe plaintiffs met the burden of proving the “product was defectively or negligently designed” or caused the veterans’ purported injuries. The company, she said, will evaluate “multiple grounds for appeal.”

Attorneys for the veterans said: “The evidence is clear: 3M knew their earplugs were defective, yet they allowed our service members to suffer these life-altering injuries.”

Notes on the News

The jury verdict follows a five-week trial in U.S. District Court in Pensacola, Fla. The proceeding, along with trials scheduled to take place in May and June, are intended to help shape the outcome of the tens of thousands of other claims that have been consolidated in the Florida court through a process known as multidistrict litigation. Jury verdicts can help set benchmarks for settlement negotiations or provide support for a company’s strategy to keep defending itself against the claims.https://tpc.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html

The jury on Friday awarded each of the three veterans $2.1 million in punitive damages, plus recoveries for medical expenses, lost earnings and pain and suffering.

The number of earplug plaintiffs far surpasses those suing over alleged harms from any other product or drug, including weedkillerbaby powder and blood thinners.

Plaintiffs allege 3M knew for years that the second version of its Combat Arms Earplugs had a tendency to loosen imperceptibly and let in more sound than specified. They allege 3M didn’t give the military proper instructions on how to get the earplugs to tightly seal.

The company has said the earplugs’ design reflected features the military requested and that the U.S. government not only had input in the product’s creation but also bore responsibility for training soldiers on how to properly use them.

Plaintiffs’ lawyers began focusing on finding earplug users after a 2018 settlement 3M reached with the U.S. Justice Department, in which the company agreed to pay $9.1 million, without admitting to any liability, to resolve allegations that it failed to disclose deficiencies in the product.

Police fatally shoot man, 20, in suburban Minneapolis, sparking protests

Another Cop bites the dust.

Minneapolis police fired stun grenades and tear gas on demonstrators protesting the police shooting death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright on April 11.

The latest: Officer who shot Daunte Wright apparently meant to use Taser but accidentally fired gun, police chief says

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. — Police fatally shot a man after a traffic stop on Sunday in suburban Minneapolis, sparking clashes between hundreds of protesters and officers in an area where tensions are already high during the ongoing trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin.Support our journalism. Subscribe today.

The victim’s family identified him as 20-year-old Daunte Wright. Hours after the shooting, hundreds of protesters surrounded the police headquarters and clashed with officers in riot gear, who fired stun grenades and tear gas. The Minnesota National Guard, which is deployed to the Twin Cities for the Chauvin trial, later arrived to assist police as numerous businesses in the area were broken into.

Police said the shooting happened just before 2 p.m., when an officer stopped a car on a traffic violation and found the driver had an outstanding warrant. As police tried to arrest him, he got back into the car and an officer fired at him, Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon said in a news release.https://c994f97c1624e3ddc664bb1fff2dba16.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html?n=0

The man drove for several blocks before striking another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening and was transported to a hospital, police said.

Police have not identified the officer who fired or the victim. At a news conference early Monday, authorities also declined to say whether the victim was armed, pending a Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigation.

Aubrey Wright identified the victim as his son, Daunte, who is Black. He said police pulled him over because an air freshener was allegedly blocking his rearview mirror — a claim Aubrey Wright questioned because the car had tinted windows.https://c994f97c1624e3ddc664bb1fff2dba16.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html?n=0

Brooklyn Center is about 10 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis, where a murder trial is underway for Chauvin, the former officer accused of killing George Floyd after kneeling on his neck for more than nine minutes as he died last year.

“This is not a neighborhood where stuff happens like this,” said Wright, who added that the family lives about three miles from where the shooting took place.

Brooklyn Center Mayor Mike Elliott called the shooting “tragic” and urged both protesters and police to remain peaceful.

“We are asking the protesters to continue to be peaceful and that peaceful protesters are not dealt with force,” Elliott tweeted.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) said he was “closely monitoring the situation” in the city of about 30,000 people. “Gwen and I are praying for Daunte Wright’s family as our state mourns another life of a Black man taken by law enforcement,” Walz tweeted.https://c994f97c1624e3ddc664bb1fff2dba16.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html?n=0

The American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota called for an “immediate, transparent and independent investigation by an outside agency.” It also demanded the quick release of any body-camera footage, as well as all the names of the officers and agencies involved.

“We have concerns that police appear to have used dangling air fresheners as an excuse for making a pretextual stop, something police do too often to target Black people,” tweeted the ACLU of Minnesota.

Aubrey Wright, 42, said his son had recently asked his mother for $50 for a carwash, and was headed there when he was shot. They had recently bought him the car, his father told The Washington Post.https://c994f97c1624e3ddc664bb1fff2dba16.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html?n=0

Daunte Wright’s mother, Katie Wright, told the Star-Tribune that her son had called her after being pulled over and that she heard a commotion and then someone yelling “Daunte, don’t run” before the line disconnected. Moments later, she said, her son’s girlfriend, who was in the car, called back and said he had been shot.

Aubrey Wright, who was at a grocery store, said his wife called him around 2 p.m. with the news. “She was screaming over the phone. She was saying, ‘Daunte was shot!’” he said.

When Aubrey Wright arrived at the scene less than 10 minutes later, he said, he saw his son’s 2011 Buick LaCrosse damaged and his son’s body covered with a white sheet on the sidewalk.https://c994f97c1624e3ddc664bb1fff2dba16.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html?n=0

Nearby, a distraught Katie Wright urged police to remove her son’s body from the ground.

“All he did was have air fresheners in the car and they told him to get out of the car,” Wright told the Star-Tribune through tears. “He got out of the car and his girlfriend said they shot him. He got back in the car and drove away and crashed — and now he’s dead on the ground.”

Aubrey Wright questioned whether police had to use lethal force.

“I know my son. He was scared. He still [had] the mind of a 17-year-old because we babied him,” Wright said. “If he was resisting an arrest, you could Tase him. I don’t understand it.”

Daunte Wright, who had a 2-year-old son, dropped out of high school about two years ago because of a learning disability, his father said. Since then, he worked in retail and fast-food restaurants to support his son. He planned to go back to school to get his GED.

“He was a great kid,” Aubrey Wright said. “He was a normal kid. He was never in serious trouble. He enjoyed spending time with his 2-year-old son. He loved his son.”

In the hours after the shooting, protesters gathered at the scene. Initially, people waved Black Lives Matter flags and chanted at the police, KSTP reported, until some began jumping on a squad car and threw concrete blocks into the windshield. Katie Wright used a speaker to ask protesters to stay calm, according to KSTP.

Some protesters came directly from an earlier rally in St. Paul organized by families with relatives who had been killed by police. Toshira Garraway Allen, whose son’s father was found dead in 2009 after fleeing officers, drove to the scene to comfort Daunte’s mother.

“It was really hurtful for me today,” Garraway Allen told The Post. “I had to leave there to rush to be by the side of another family.”

Protesters clashed with police in riot gear as police fired less-than-lethal rounds, the Star-Tribune reported.

By 10 p.m., the crowd, now in the hundreds, had marched to the local police headquarters. Protesters chanted “Black Lives Matter” and “Say his name, Daunte Wright” as police launched tear gas and stun grenades and ordered people to move back. Tensions escalated when police fired a flare at a protester who was kneeling on the ground with his hands up.Demonstrators protest outside the Brooklyn Center Police Station on Sunday. In the crowd, Isaiah Caldwell, 22, stood facing the officers. He said in high school, he was close friends with Daunte’s sister and that they all used to go to the Boys & Girls Club in West St. Paul. He described Daunte as a “good guy” who “had a lot of love for his family.”

“He didn’t deserve that,” Caldwell said. “It’s not right.”

Following the protests, at least 20 businesses at a nearby mall were broken into, John Harrington, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, said at a news conference early on Monday.

Elliott announced a citywide curfew in Brooklyn Center from 1 a.m. until 6 a.m. on Monday. “Please be safe and please go home,” he tweeted.

After 1 a.m. local time, most of the crowd outside the police station and a nearby mall dissipated, Harrington said. More troops from the National Guard will be deployed to the area this week, Harrington added.https://c994f97c1624e3ddc664bb1fff2dba16.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/ht

‘Truth is stranger than fiction’ DR.SEBI

Advertisements

Born Alfredo Bowman on Nov. 26, 1933, in Honduras, Dr. Sebi came to the United States as a self-educated man who was diagnosed with asthma, diabetes, impotence, and obesity.

After unsuccessful treatments with conventional doctors and traditional Western medicine, Sebi was led to an herbalist in Mexico. Finding great healing success from all his ailments, he began creating natural vegetation, “Cell-food” compounds geared for inter-cellular cleansing and revitalization.

Carefully studying herbs in North America, South America, Africa, and the Caribbean, Sebi developed a unique methodology to healing the human body with herbs that are firmly rooted in over 30 years of research and experience.

He rose to cult-like fame pushing a simple dietary premise that food is alkaline for the body, and dead food kills the body’s natural ability to heal and regenerate.

He believed that an alkaline diet can cure any disease and he created self-food products to treat people. His roster of clients included John Travolta, Steven Segal, Eddie Murphy, Teddy Pendergrass, Lisa “left eye” Lopez (of the group TLC), and Michael Jackson.

Despite these noted celebrities, many people considered Sebi a “quack” who was no more a doctor than Dr. Pepper. Nevertheless, Sebi’s myth grew stronger in 1987 after the self-taught herbalist ran ads in the Amsterdam News, the Village Voice, and the New York Post newspapers claiming that he had a cure for AIDS, HIV, diabetes, herpes, paralysis, and several other diseases. This did not go over well with New York Attorney General Robert Abrams who ordered him to remove the ads.

Sebi refused and was soon arrested on charges of practicing medicine without a license, selling products not approved by the FDA, and fraudulently claiming that he could cure AIDS and other diseases.

On Feb. 10, 1987, detectives arrested Dr. Sebi in his New York office. “Everybody in my office was crying,” Sebi said, “but not me, I was happy.

“I had the diagnostic sheets of everyone that I had cured showing their medical diagnosis from American doctors from credible American medical schools. I also had written statements from not one, but two independent doctors verifying that the patient’s disease no longer existed.”

“No one else had ever made those claims,” Sebi said. “The man (Robert Abrams) had a right to arrest me, but he was making a mistake.

“When I went in front of the judge, I asked three questions. Your Honor, is it a fact that the Holy Bible teaches that herbs are for the healing of the nations?”

The judge replied yes.

“Your Honor,” asked Sebi, “is it a fact that science shows that the human body is carbon-based and the complement to a carbon base body must have a carbon-based substance to complement it because the body only accepts a substance through chemical affinity?” The judge agreed.

“Your Honor,” said Sebi, “is it a fact that the so-called father of medicine, Hippocrates, cured every disease known to man?” The judge answered in the affirmative.

“Did he use herbs or chemicals?”

“Herbs,” she replied.

During the trial Sebi shocked the court when he asserted there was only one disease – not two, and not three, but one.

“Could you substantiate that?’’ asked the judge.

Dr. Sebi’s Treatment Book: Dr. Sebi Treatment For Stds, Herpes, Hiv, Diabetes, Lupus, Hair Loss, Cancer, Kidney Stones, And Other Diseases. The … How To Detox The Liver And Cleanse Your Body.

“When someone has sinusitis, what is obstructing in the nasal passage?” Sebi asked. “Mucus,” replied the judge.

“And when another has bronchitis,” Sebi queried, “what’s obstructing the bronchial tubes?”

“Mucus,” she replied.

“And when another has pneumonia, what’s covering the walls of the lungs?” Sebi asked

“Mucus,” relied the judge.

Just then, the prosecutor jumped up and blurted, “what about AIDS? You and your one disease theory, what about AIDS?

“I am the last person on earth to believe in theory,” Sebi countered. “I do not lend myself to theories or philosophy. Either I know something or I don’t.”

“Your Honor, have you ever been to an AIDS ward?” Sebi asked,

“Yes.”

“What is it that AIDS patients spit up practically every 5 minutes?

“Mucus,” she sharply replied, “but where is the mucus?”

“It’s in the skin, the blood, and the lymphatic system,” he said.

Still not convinced, the judge demanded Sebi bring to court one of each of his patients who could testify that he or she had been cured by Dr. Sebi of these fatal diseases. Dr. Sebi brought in 77 patients.

After hearing the heartfelt testimonies of each of them, the jury found Sebi not guilty. Prior to Sebi’s triumphant acquittal, there were 2,781 cases that came before the New York Supreme Court on fraudulent medical claims – all ending with a verdict of guilty.

Before Nipsey Hussle’s untimely death, he announced he was working on a documentary film about the alternative health guru and traditional healer.

On May 28, 2016, Dr. Sebi was arrested in Honduras for carrying $37,000 in cash. He was released pending a court hearing, only to be re-arrested on June 3 by Honduran authorities and charged with money laundering. Sebi remained in custody until Aug. 6, when he was rushed to a local hospital reportedly suffering from complications of pneumonia. He died in route. Sebi was 82 years old.

Today, many believe that Dr. Sebi was a threat to the multi-billion-dollar medical industry. They believe Sebi’s death was not an accident that his arrest and eventual death stem from the fact that if his career was correct, he would have bankrupted the medical community. They claim “there’s no money in cures, but there’s money in sickness.”

Much of what Dr. Sebi espoused about health and diet has been echoed by the American Heart Association and other credible medical groups who’ve urged Americans to eat more fresh fruit and vegetables and less processed foods.

Still, there’s a plethora of internet chatter about the demise of Sebi and Hussle. With Sebi being such a social media sensation, undoubtedly there will be at least one documentary/movie made about his life. When it is finally released, keep in mind the old proverb – “Truth is stranger than fiction.”

Sales Funnel vs Website?

Build a Sales Funnel, Not a Website

Understanding the difference is the secret to getting clicks that convert

Frankly, I thought they were the same until I read Russel Brunson’s book entitled the Dotcom Secrets — I highly recommend it!

To all the aspiring entrepreneurs like myself — When you’re finally getting traffic on your website, do you wonder how you could magically make those people actually buy your service or products? Getting the high traffic is nice! But then what?

The answer to this lies in one of the fundamental rules of marketing:

A confused mind always says no.

It is more common than you may think. People invest a lot of time and money in marketing and website development — yet they still struggle to get their conversion rates to a profitable level. Let’s stop here for a bit and break down the difference between a sales funnel and a website. Hopefully, this will help you tackle the real problem that might be preventing your business from taking off.

A funnel has a strategy behind it

When websites were first created, there was barely any strategy involved. People didn’t really know how they were supposed to use them and the designers of those websites just wanted to make something that looked pretty. They did look awesome and had links to everything, yet they looked a lot like a glorified brochure.

“It was similar to hiring a salesperson, having them stand outside your store and hand out brochures to people who were walking by, with the only sales strategy being the hope that they’d look at the brochure, find something they liked, and then come back to buy something.”

— Russel Brunson

From the outside, a funnel may look like a website. But you’ll see that each page and each step has only one call to action. There is a strategy behind what page someone sees first and which page they see next. As a result, the potential customer is no longer confused, and he finds exactly what he’s looking for.

A sales funnel allows you to provide value to each customer at the level of service they can afford

In an ideal world, you would immediately be able to offer your dream client your best, most expensive service — but that’s almost impossible. You haven’t provided value yet, and that is exactly why you need a funnel.

The sales funnel moves people through the sales process once they enter as potential customers. Your job is to convert as many of those people into customers by selling to them at each level of your funnel.

Image by John Conde from Pixabay

The top of the funnel represents all the visitors who will be offered a front-end service. Once the customer buys something, they are offered an upsell, and a percentage of those people will choose to upgrade. And as you move deeper into the funnel, you introduce your next product or service of higher value at a higher price.

You will see that not everyone who purchases the front-end product will buy the next offer, but a percentage will. As you continue to do this through all the levels, you will end up with a handful of people who can afford or may be willing to purchase your high-end services.

The more things you can offer your clients, the more each customer will be worth to you — and the more you can spend to acquire them.

“Ultimately, the business that can spend the most to acquire a customer wins. “ — Dan Kennedy

A Sales Funnel Creates Multiple Purchase Opportunities

Moving your potential customers through your funnel helps build trust by starting as low as free and building up as high as you can imagine. At each of those stages, a portion of the traffic will purchase your service, and the rest will exit the system until you are left with your dream clients who are willing to buy your most valuable offer.

When you start with an inexpensive offer that is valuable, the odds of them purchasing your more expensive offer become higher.

Think about it for a moment…

If you start with a $1000 offer versus a $20 product, then an upgrade for $40, then a $100, and so on — Which one would have a higher probability of conversion? The key is to hook your visitor by providing them with some value so that they would want more from you.

Besides, moving up the ladder means that you maximize the lifetime value of each customer — unlike a traditional website where you may only have one opportunity for a visitor to purchase. This is a powerful way to leverage your business.

Takeaway

A sales funnel allows you to accomplish two amazing things:

  1. Provide your prospective customer with a better experience by giving them exactly what they want and at the price that best suits them.
  2. Spend more money to acquire them while remaining profitable.

Your job is to build a ladder through which you establish different valuable offers and move them through it as you put your least expensive one at the front-end, followed by your most expensive ones. Yes! You do end up with a small percentage of the initial traffic, but your conversion rate is not zero — unlike a website where visitors often hit a brick wall due to confusion and end up leaving your page altogether.

Always remember that people are smart — They won’t simply buy anything from anyone unless they feel there’s an immense amount of value to be had.

AND Remember? Traffic!

Expert affiliate marketing strategies to boost your affiliate conversions

Advertisements

Conversion optimization has a major impact on the amount of affiliate commissions you make. But how to make sure you get the most referrals from your traffic? This guide will help you discover expert affiliate marketing strategies to boost your affiliate business.

In this article, we cover the following strategies:

1. Track your affiliate sales
2. Use dashboards to analyze your data
3. Drive traffic with the right search intent
4. Use the right tools
5. Make split testing a habit
6. Create an email autoresponder sequence
7. Work with quality offers and publishers
8. Join high-paying affiliate programs
9. Improve SEO and PPC affiliate marketing strategies

10. Drive sales with incentives
11. Find unique channels to promote products
12. Outsource time-consuming tasks

Click on the title to skip to that section.

1. Track your affiliate sales

Let’s start with one of the most important affiliate marketing strategies: tracking your data.

In order to grow your business and earn commissions, you need to track your conversions. Conversions are the primary objective of your business and you want to figure out which website visits end up in a purchase.

On the side of the affiliate program, tracking is done by a web cookie. The cookie gets placed after somebody clicks on your referral link. It is there to ensure the commission is attributed to you.

Each affiliate program has their own way of handling affiliate data. You can usually find click and conversion data in your affiliate dashboard. You can then compare your traffic and referrals to different date ranges while running your campaigns.

Make sure you follow your own link clicks in e.g. Google Analytics and Google Data Studio. Keep track of your conversion rates and see how changes affect your referrals.

Different niches and channels are hard to compare but on average a 0.5% to 1.0% conversion rate is common in the affiliate industry. Learn more about affiliate conversion tracking here.

2. Use dashboards to analyze your data

Besides affiliate sales, there is lots of useful data to track. To evaluate your marketing efforts, you need an overview of your marketing data.

Marketing data will help you research and analyze which channels and promotions do well. Optimizing your campaigns with the help of data helps you allocate budget to the right sources.

A tool like Supermetrics can help you pull data from different advertising platforms into one place. There are several dashboards available to help you track your campaigns and conversions. You can choose, for example, an SEO, PPC, or email marketing dashboard.

Here, we see an example of a Paid Channel Mix template. This dashboard helps you pull data from different ad platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter into one place.

A dashboard like this will give you easy access to the most important marketing metrics. Find more dashboards for affiliate marketing here.

3. Drive traffic with the right search intent

To earn commissions, your traffic needs to convert to a payment. But driving lots of visitors to your website does not necessarily mean a high conversion rate.

On top of that, most affiliate websites only have a few articles that drive the majority of their affiliate sales. So, a high conversion rate is not linked to the amount of articles you publish.

How do you get traffic that converts into paying customers?

Well, high converting content has two things in common:
1. The content matches the audience’s search intent.
2. The article is of high quality.

Search intent and affiliate conversions
Keywords can indicate the search intent of a visitor. This can give us an idea about what stage of the funnel the searcher is in.

Search intent can be categorized into:

  • The awareness stage
  • The interest stage
  • The desire stage
  • The action stage

As explained in the classic marketing model “ AIDA,” the customer goes through several stages before deciding to buy a product.

In the first stage of awareness, the website visitor is exploring a product or topic. In the next two stages of interest and desire, they might look for some suggestions for solutions and learn more about the product.

But the valuable traffic comes from visitors in the action stage. These visitors are ready to make a purchase decision.

Keywords related to decision making can include terms like “buy,” “versus,” “comparison,” “review,” or “test.” These keywords show that the searcher just needs a little bit more information to make the right purchase. Information you can provide with your affiliate website.

If you map out your content and target keywords, you should always take search intent into consideration. This will lead to higher quality traffic and more conversions.

Keywords linked to the decision making stage are often more competitive. It is therefore important to find a balance between search volume, competition, and search intent.

5. Make split testing a habit

Split testing, also called A/B testing, is one of the most important ways to increase your affiliate referrals. Split testing means you have two variants and you need to choose the best performing one. It can be done for any section of your website and sales funnel.

If you don’t have a lot of traffic yet, start with split testing between two variants instead of testing multiple factors. If you attract a larger amount of traffic, you can go more granular and test multiple differences on your website.

Remember that even the smallest difference on a page can make a huge difference in conversions. Because of this, you definitely want to keep testing and finding improvements.

If you plan to split test many factors, there is software that can help you manage and track your split testing experiments.

What to split test for affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is all about testing and optimizing your campaigns. You can split test pretty much anything, so what should you test?

Some common areas to test in affiliate marketing:

  • Traffic sources
You can easily test different traffic sources by using the same promotion on different advertising platforms. You can also test organic blog posts against email marketing.
  • Paid advertising
You can split test different ads for an offer. Combine this with different landing pages and sync your ads with your landing page.
  • Landing pages
Test two different landing pages for the same promotion and see which one works best.

Make sure to send traffic from the same advertising source to both landing pages. Then link from the landing page to the same offer page, analyze your results, and implement the winning page.

  • Direct vs. bridge page

Compare conversions from direct linking (e.g. through PPC campaigns) with conversions from a landing page (bridge page).

  • Offers

Test two similar offers from different companies in the same campaign to find the best converting product.

Same audience, multiple promotions
Let’s say you run a paid advertising promotion that breaks even, or you have an affiliate campaign that converts, but you want to get more out of your efforts. In these cases, email marketing might be the way to go.

Check out this guide for more details → Setting up A/B tests for affiliate marketing.

6. Create an email autoresponder sequence

An email list gives you the opportunity to have instant communication with your audience. This makes it possible for you to promote affiliate offers directly to your target group.

Spend your time working with top merchants that offer industry-standard commissions and bonus rewards. There are many different types of commissions, so explore your options before promoting a product.

Common commission structures are:

Start building an email list by using pop ups and integrated forms to collect sign-ups.

Create an email sequence flow to boost your conversions. This allows you to promote the same product multiple times to your audience. An email sequence gives you multiple chances to convince your reader to try the product. It also makes it possible to promote multiple offers at the same time to the same traffic source.

Good email marketing requires some planning. Your sequence should be based on your readers interest, and have informational and entertaining content.

The great thing about an email sequence is that you don’t have to spend much time on it once it’s set up. Occasionally, you might want to change your promotions depending on the results you get. Apart from that, it’s all automated!

7. Work with quality offers and publishers

When it comes to picking companies and offers to work with, there are many options. Only work with companies that have a solid reputation and are regarded as trustworthy.

There is a direct link between the amount of conversions you make and the quality of the product. And since there are so many offers to choose from, why not pick the best?

To establish yourself as an expert in your niche, you want to spend time talking about the best and most innovative products in your industry. Set yourself up for success by working with great companies and great offers.

Always check reviews before dedicating time to promote a product. Even if you own the products yourself, see how others experience the product before you dive in with your efforts.

Successful affiliate marketers keep searching for new quality products and new areas to expand their business. A great way to do so is to explore trendy niches and products with the help of Google Trends

Google Trends gives you information on trending and evergreen topics, organic search volumes for brand names, and the public’s interest in a specific niche over time.

It’s an incredibly powerful tool to pick keywords and topics for long-term affiliate projects which will help you take the guesswork out of current trends.

8. Join high-paying affiliate programs

TikTok for affiliate marketing
TikTok is one of the newest platforms to explore. This fast-growing social platform can get you a large following in a short amount of time.

  • Flat fee
  • Percentage of the sale
  • Recurring commissions
  • Product credits

A flat fee means you get a fixed amount of money for a referral that purchases a product through your affiliate link.

Other affiliate programs work with a percentage of the sale. In that case, your commission depends on the fraction of the total sum your referral pays.

If the affiliate program works with credits, you can use these points to purchase the company’s products.

Recurring commission means you can receive multiple payments for the same referral. When the referred customers renew their license, you get your commission each time. It is one of the most beneficial commission structures, because you get paid multiple times for the same referral.

Supermetrics has an affiliate program that offers recurring payouts for purchases made by your referrals. On top of recurring commissions, we offer 8 other reasons to join our affiliate program.

9. Improve SEO and PPC affiliate marketing strategies

Many marketers choose to drive traffic through both SEO and paid advertising. To make the most of affiliate marketing, you might also want to use a combination of the two.

The great thing about paid traffic is that it can give you immediate results. No need to build up your Google rankings. You can have your ads up and running and bring in your first conversions in no time.

However to drive as much traffic as possible from your paid campaigns, the devil is in the details. One of these details is understanding how time of day impacts PPC.

As we can see in this example, the cost per conversion can vary substantially depending on the time of day. This has a direct impact on your return on investment. Dayparting your campaigns is one factor that can elevate your PPC campaigns from good to great.

With an SEO-based strategy, you can benefit from long-term organic traffic. Domain authority and views are built over time and can exponentially increase your traffic. Besides blog posting, consider recapping your content in different forms such as affiliate video content. This helps you reach a wider audience.

Unfortunately, SEO takes time. Good content needs proper research. Also, time-consuming link building strategies are needed to help your organic rankings. To improve your SEO, you should also monitor low quality links on your affiliate website

If you use SEO and content creation on top of paid advertising, it can help your PPC campaigns generate more sales. By building brand awareness organically, the click-through rate of your ads will also increase.

This means your efforts for organic traffic will help your paid campaigns become more effective. Read more about SEO and PPC strategy for affiliate marketing here.

10. Drive sales with incentives

There is a lot of competition in affiliate marketing. Offer your audience something in return for buying through your affiliate link. This can be anything from an extra product, a discount code, or cashback.

Before you offer a bonus, calculate your bonus costs and ROI (return on investment). A bonus is especially appealing when the affiliate product comes at a high price.

The benefits of using incentives are:

  • It can make hesitant visitors decide to purchase.
  • Well-picked bonuses add value to your affiliate offer.
  • Some visitors love extras and don’t want to miss out on a (temporary) bonus.

Don’t repeat and overdo the promotion of your rewards. Exclusiveness can help urge readers to purchase.

There are two rules to make your bonus appealing:

  • Offer a bonus that is highly related to your affiliate product.
  • Clearly display the amount of money your bonus is worth.

Always check with your affiliate manager if incentives are allowed.

11. Find unique channels to promote products

Besides mainstream social platforms, there are more unique channels to boost your sales. Let’s go over some interesting channels to generate referrals.

Answer questions on Quora
Although direct linking is not allowed on Quora, you can still leverage the platform for affiliate marketing. Write answers and refer to your site as a resource. Create a great profile, pick the right questions to answer and start growing your followers.

Quora is great for boosting your long-term organic traffic. Once you post an answer, it keeps generating views and website visitors. You can read a full guide on affiliate marketing on Quora here

Youtube as a powerful search engine
If creating videos is one of your affiliate marketing strategies, you should double down on Youtube search optimization. Youtube is the second largest search engine in the world and search optimization is crucial to get found on Youtube. Find tips on YouTube search optimization here.

Write on Medium
Another promising but often overlooked platform is Medium. Medium offers amateur and professional writers a place to share knowledge and stories. The publishing website offers an opportunity to get visibility for your affiliate content.

Just like Quora, Medium can be used to drive in direct affiliate traffic, but the platform also allows affiliate links.

However, in order to succeed on Medium, quality content is key. Great articles can get a spot on members recommendations lists and you can climb the rankings by earning “claps” from readers.

What makes Medium attractive is that it allows you to republish your articles to a new audience. Make sure your article is highly informative and brings something new to the table. Read more about affiliate marketing on Medium here

Optimize for voice search
Voice search through devices like Google Home, Amazon Echo, Siri and Alexa are rising in global popularity. Last year’s purchases through voice search have doubled and the number of households using smart search is growing.

Grow your audience with entertaining videos in your niche. Share discount codes in your videos and link your social accounts and websites to your profile.

There are many advertising options on TikTok, but the rules are changing constantly so keep yourself updated on recent developments. Check out an overview of TikTok’s affiliate marketing and paid advertising options here.

Step up your Facebook ads with segmented retargeting
With the help of Google Analytics segmentation, you can create hyper-focused retargeting campaigns that help you minimize costs on Facebook. Digital analyst, Michaela Linhart shows you how to set it up here

Voice search can impact your referrals due to the declining use of purchases through Google Search. Be ahead of the game and start optimizing your affiliate content for voice commands.

Voice-based searches are usually shorter than typed searches and frequently contain questions. Find these questions and match your content to lead the searcher to your content.

Guides and FAQ sections are ideal for voice search because you can optimize for voice search questions as well as regular keywords.

And finally, make sure to optimize your website for mobile visitors, as voice search is often done on mobile. Find more tips to optimize your affiliate pages for voice search here

12. Outsource time-consuming tasks

Creating a good source of income from affiliate marketing is hard work. It requires multiple skills in different areas of marketing.

The good news is that you don’t have to do it alone. Some of the most time-consuming tasks for affiliate marketing you might want to outsource include blog writing, video creation and design.

There are tons of experts available to help you build your business. Browse freelance websites to find people that can help you execute these tasks. Post trial assignments and find your core team of freelancers.

Hopefully these affiliate marketing strategies will help you earn more commission. If you want to learn more about affiliate marketing, you can visit our affiliate blog section.

Excerpt:

Slowly, the air releases from my lungs and I stomp my feet to the house. The paperwork for my leave sits perfectly concealed on the front seat of my car. The last thing I want is to have my kids see them right off the bat. I pull a stalk of celery out of the overstuffed paper bag in one hand, so I can point it at my children while I make my way into the kitchen.

“Mom!” Dean throws his hands in the air, palms toward me in surrender. “Before you say anything, just hear us out.”

“You’re a villain,” I say and thrust the celery around like a sword. I wave it back and forth between them. “Both of you.”

“Disarm yourself, Woman.” Marsha chimes in. “We only did what we had to. You never would’ve taken the initiative at work if we didn’t step in. There’s only so long you can use your job as an excuse.”

She rounds the bar to take the awkwardly full paper bag from my arm and sets it next to the stove before the bottom has a chance to give way and spill its grocery guts all over the tiled floor. She’s completely unfazed by my foodish threats and doesn’t even glance in the celery’s direction.

Dean’s face lights up at my lighthearted humor. With wide eyes he laughs openly, then he shakes his head and returns his attention back to the schoolwork in front of him. Finals are rapidly approaching, so they’ve both been glued to their studies. It’s been peaceful this last week, but a little lonely I’ll admit. Another reason I’m afraid to be by myself for the summer. I’m a great mom, and for the most part my kids prefer to spend the majority of their time with me, so I’m rarely lonely.

I don’t want to be alone for months on end. My mind wanders to the billboard, and I remind myself of the water dripping down the muscular back. Okay, alone is one thing. Alone on the beach might not be so bad, with the possibility of a view like that close by.
